… with details of this two-year project and opportunities for you to get involved.
Everything is inter-connected, and every voice adds to an understanding of the knowing and feeling of place, and decisions about the future. Building on our passion for walking and enquiring into the nature of place, we’ll be taking the Under Helm Sycamore as a central point in the Lake District, and month-by-month exploring one 30-degree segment (or hour), as we walk our way around a virtual clock face. We’ll be discussing issues of place, meeting local residents to find out more about their views, and interviewing academics who are experts in subjects ranging from cultural heritage to soil, climate, water and forestry. There will be walking, camping, poetry, photography and many conversations.
We’d love you to join us on our journey, virtually or on the ground. We will also be launching a map that anyone can add to … more about this, and other elements of the project, to follow soon.
